Why it works
Why lifters log in Prept
Step-by-step set logging
Start a workout and Prept walks you through each exercise, one set at a time, with large inputs for weight and reps.
The demo is right there
Can't remember how the coach set up that cable row? The source video jumps to that exercise in one tap.
Last time, pre-filled
Every set opens with the weight and reps you logged last time for that movement, so progressive overload is one tap away.
Swap busy equipment
Rack taken? Each exercise lists the equipment it needs and an alternative, so the plan survives a crowded gym.
How it works
From saved video to logged session
Pick your session
Open a saved workout from your library or today's slot in your weekly planner.
Log each set
Enter weight and reps as you finish — last session's numbers are already filled in.
Check form when needed
Tap through to the original clip at the exact exercise, then get back to logging.
Review the session
Finish to see the workout on your calendar, the muscles you trained and your estimated calories.
Questions
Good to know
How is Prept different from a paper gym logbook?
A notebook records numbers but can't show you how an exercise is done or summarise which muscles you trained this week. Prept logs the same numbers and keeps the creator's demo, your history and a muscle map alongside them.
Does the log support kilograms and pounds?
Yes. Choose kilograms or pounds in settings and Prept shows every weight in that unit.
What if a machine is taken?
Each exercise in Prept lists its equipment along with an alternative you can use instead, so you can swap without abandoning the workout.
Is the gym log free?
Logging is included for free. The free plan allows up to 14 imports a month from TikTok and YouTube; Prept Pro removes the limit and adds Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, X and Threads.
