Why it works
Why save Instagram workouts to Prept
Reels and carousels
Share a Reel or a multi-slide carousel post. Prept reads the video, the slides and the caption, and combines them into one workout.
Searchable, unlike Saved
Every workout lands in your library with real exercise names, sorted into collections — no more scrolling thumbnails to find one.
Survives deleted posts
Once the exercises are extracted they're yours, even if the creator deletes the Reel or goes private.
Train from it
Put the workout on your week, then follow it set by set with the Reel a tap away for form checks.
How it works
From saved video to logged session
Tap share on the Reel
Tap the paper-plane icon, then share to Prept — or copy the link and paste it into the app.
Prept writes it out
Exercises, sets, reps or time, and the muscles each move works.
Check and save
Fix anything that was misheard, then file it into a collection.
Plan and log
Add it to a day in your planner and log every set when you train.
Questions
Good to know
How do I save an Instagram workout to Prept?
Open the Reel or post, tap the share (paper-plane) icon and choose Prept, or copy the link and paste it into Prept. The workout appears for review a few seconds later.
Does it work with carousel posts?
Yes. Multi-slide posts are read slide by slide and combined into one workout, along with the caption.
Is saving from Instagram free?
Instagram imports are part of Prept Pro. The free plan includes up to 14 imports a month from TikTok and YouTube, so you can try the full workflow before upgrading.
Can Prept save Reels from private accounts?
No. Prept can only read posts that are publicly visible.
Does the creator know I saved their workout?
No. Sharing a post to another app doesn't notify the creator. Prept keeps a link back to the original so you can still credit and follow them.
