Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Prept, covering your use of the Prept mobile app and the website at prept.pro (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

Prept lets you save workout videos from platforms like TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, extracts them into structured, step-by-step workouts, and helps you organise them into collections and plans, schedule your training, and log and track your sessions and progress — including optional progress photos and weight tracking, and optional public sharing of workouts, plans and your progress gallery via links on prept.pro. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Prept. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you’re using Prept on behalf of someone else, you confirm you’re authorised to accept these Terms on their behalf.

You need an account to use most of Prept. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account. You’re responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that we reasonably believe are fraudulent or abusive, or that have been inactive for an extended period, with notice where practicable.

Prept offers free features and an optional Pro subscription (billed weekly, monthly or yearly) that unlocks additional functionality. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region and change over time; we’ll give you notice before a price change applies to your subscription.

Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and are subject to their respective terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — not in the Prept app itself, since the platform, not Prept, processes the payment.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies; we cannot issue refunds directly. Prept does not currently offer a free trial; if that changes, the trial terms will be shown in the app before you subscribe.

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service to upload, save or distribute unlawful, infringing, or abusive content.
• Use Prept’s import feature to violate a source platform’s own terms of service or a creator’s rights — you’re responsible for making sure you have the right to save and use content you submit.
• Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers or infrastructure.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or harass other users.
• Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by these Terms.

You retain ownership of the links, images, photos, notes and other content you submit to Prept (“your content”), including your progress photos and weight entries. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display your content back to you as needed to operate the Service — for example, extracting and rendering a workout from a video you saved, or storing and displaying your progress photos in your gallery. Prept does not host or redistribute the original videos you import; we store the link together with metadata and workout details derived from it, for your personal use within the app. You represent that you have the right to submit your content and that doing so doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.

If you choose to share a workout, plan or your progress gallery via a public link, you additionally grant us a licence to host and display that content publicly to anyone with the link, and to generate preview/share images from it, for as long as the share is active. Viewers of a shared workout or plan may save a copy into their own library; copies made while your share was active remain with those users after you stop sharing. You can stop sharing at any time in the app, which takes the public page down immediately. Do not share content that is unlawful, infringing or that you don’t have the right to make public.

Prept is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or any other platform you may import content from. Your use of that source content remains subject to the originating platform’s own terms and the rights of its creator. We are not responsible for content hosted on third-party platforms, or for those platforms removing or restricting access to content you’ve saved a link to.

Prept is a workout organisation and tracking tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice. Workout data extracted from videos may be inaccurate or incomplete — always use your own judgment and verify exercises, weights and form before performing them. Consult a physician before starting any new exercise programme, especially if you have a pre-existing condition. You use the Service, and perform any exercise you find through it, entirely at your own risk.

The Service, including its design, branding, features and underlying technology (excluding your content), is owned by Prept and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure, including Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, PostHog and Google Cloud Translation. Your use of features backed by these providers may also be subject to their own terms. See our Privacy Policy for details on how they process your information.

You may stop using Prept and delete your account at any time from Profile → Account settings, or by emailing support@prept.pro. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for breach of these Terms, fraud, or as required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, and your data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that extracted workout data will always be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prept will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50 if you haven’t paid us anything.

You agree to indemnify and hold Prept harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. If you have a concern or dispute, please contact us first at support@prept.pro so we can try to resolve it informally before any formal proceeding.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we’ll provide notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Prept regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a right isn’t a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
